How do I remove tempera paint from my cream colored carpet?

You could try Dawn dish soap or hair spray.

try with a little white spirits, use cotton wool to apply then rinse well with cold water

Don’t know why it works but Fume Free Oven Cleaner (you know–the stuff in a spray can) it took blood out of my carpet after the cat had kittens! I thought sure it would ruin the carpet as the ex just started spraying (He thought it was the carpet cleaner!) but as of when I left 3 years ago the carpet’s fine….
