I have purchased an air purifier and bought bed covers and hypoallergenic pillows and pillow covers. I have removed my dusty drapes. I have carpeting that i can not remove…anything i can do or buy to reduce allergens that comes from carpets.

I’m not going to hire someone to clean my carpets so they can get dusty a couple days later. That’s expensive. I’m in college.
Also, share any tips on reducing allergies in a bedroom. Thanks

Best way to steam clean your carpets? Buy something, rent something, pay somebody else?

I’m really looking for cost effective here, so I don’t want to pay a company to do this… especially since we got burned when we did that 1 year ago (when we moved in.)
I’d rather do it myself because then I know it is done correctly.

Do you recommend buying a certain product? Renting something? Or any other tips for getting the carpets cleaner than a standard vacuum?
