I had a puppy and.. before it was trained it make and accident here and there.

Months later. Pissy smell is in the carpet.

I tried everything. I used almost ever carpet cleaner and everything. The pissy smell is still there. I even got a carpet machine-nothing, powder and vacuum it up still nothing!

We got a daschund puppy about a month ago and we’re having serious problems trying to housebreak him. We can take him outside and keep him out for up to 15 minutes at a time, yet he’ll come in the house and do his thing on the carpet almost immediately after. It’s getting to be a real pain cleaning the carpet every time we turn around! Any tips that might make housebreaking the little guy a little speedier process and a bit more effective perhaps?

I have scrubbed the leather interior with a mixture of laundry detergent and water…it worked like a charm! Laundry detergent is made to break down body oil and the like…so it made a huge difference. I would like to finish off the interior of the car and need some great suggestions on conditioning the leather, cleaning the carpets and headliner, finishing off the interior, polishing the chrome on the exterior, detailing the engine, and waxing the exterior (and hopefully get rid of some of the oxidation of the black paint) and shine/condition the black rubber on the exterior…put your thinking caps on and let me know what you think!

I don’t like the carpet in my mobile home, and it’s been there for over 10 years…I don’t know what type of carpet it is, but it has little pattern grooves…not berber. I have a good vacuum and it has never had any problem before with suction or anything, but on this carpet it just doesn’t vacuum well at all. Anything on the floor gets pushed into the grooves and won’t pick up unless I get down and use the hose. Until I can afford new carpet, is there any easier way to vacuum this type of carpet. My vacuum has different settings and with this carpet I’ve been using low/hardwood setting because it’s been so worn down over the years…would it be better to use a higher carpet setting or what?

I’m going on a cleaning binge when I get home from work, and that carpet really irks me when I vacuum it…I just wanted to know if there’s a better way or if I’m just gonna have to deal with it until I can replace it. Thanks!

My husband’s dog nonstop SHEDS…she’s a short-haired dog, with black coarse hair (a Staffordshire Bull Terrier). Today I found her hair in the FRIDGE…so we had a heated discussion about what we’re going to do about it. (My husband does NOT care for his dog in that regards…doesn’t brush her, bathe her nor pick up her hair….I do it…and I’m quite ticked off about it)

We have berber carpet throughout most of the house and then plush in the bedrooms…linoleum in the kitchen and bathroom. BUT, I will vacuum…and then roller (lint catcher) brush the carpet and get dog hair. We have a Dirt Devil Vision…2 yrs old….new filter. I just can’t seem to get it all in the berber.

I thought maybe having our carpets steam cleaned? But does anyone have ANY tips for the dog hair!! I’m going nuts keeping this house hair-free.

My mom and I traded rooms and she’s a smoker. My room now stinks like smoke and I tried opening the windows for a few hours but that didn’t help. Is there any way to get a room to smell fresh and clean when the previous user smoked? Any tips? Is the smell trapped on the walls and carpet or something? Thanks!
